Georgia Car Crash Leaves Teen Critically Injured

A car accident occurred on Tara Boulevard near Winding Way Lane in Jonesboro, Georgia, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

According to Clayton County Police Spokeswomen Lt. Rebecca Brown, a car was heading south on Tara Blvd. It then overturned several times, landing in the northbound lane.

The road was blocked for an hour northbound by officers so they could remove one of the passengers who was hanging from the window.

The passenger was rushed to Southern Regional Medical Center and is now listed as in critical condition. According to Brown, his injuries were listed as life-threatening.

The identities of the driver and passengers are not available right now. There were other passengers in the car as well as the driver and they were treated for minor injuries at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin.

Right now there is still investigation ongoing but “it appears the driver over corrected.”
