In a tragic turn of events, a Douglas, Georgia teenager was killed Wednesday after being struck by a hit and run driver early that morning. Jose Garcia, 16, was found on Warren Carter Road around 6:00AM. The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the hit and run accident but no suspects have been named thus far. Garcia, who is survived by his family, was found near his home in Coffee County.

Hopefully in due time, either evidence or a guilty conscious will bring the guilty party to light so that justice may be properly served.
