Investigators are still investigating the tragic death of an 11-year-old girl who was struck and killed as she was trying to cross an Atlanta street earlier this week. Witnesses say the Chevrolet Impala, which sped off from the scene of the accident immediately after striking the young girl, made no attempt to see if she was okay or did anything to help save her life. The young girl was immediately taken to Egleston Hospital but later died as a result of her injuries.

Authorities investigating this Georgia pedestrian accident subsequently found the vehicle involved parked two miles away but noted the vehicle had been reported stolen some two days prior. For now a man hunt is ongoing in order to find this heinous and careless driver. Witnesses and others will relevant information are encouraged to contact the police immediately with any new developments or sightings. As more information is uncovered, future posts will be added to track the progress of this tragic case.
