Matilynn Williams, a ten year old girl from Tuscaloosa County was recently attacked by two pit bulls on her way to her bus. Matilynn was taken to DCH Regional medical Center where she received numerous stitches for her injuries. The even more appalling part of this dog bite story is that her older brother was attacked by these same two pit bulls just a week before this dangerous dog attack. Sandretta Williams, Matilynn's mother, heard her daughter's screams and raced to her side immediately following the attack.

According to authorities, one of the dogs involved has already been euthanized and the other is expected to be turned over very soon.

Situations like this show just how bad things can get when owners do not properly train and secure their animals. There is no reason for even one dog attack like this occur much less two in one week. The only way to prevent such negligence like this in the future is to hold the responsible owner accountable for allowing their dogs run wild.
At the very least, it will encourage other owners with dangerous dogs to take added precautions to ensure their dogs do not do the same thing to someone else.
