The FDA completed a final analysis of the Total Body Formula and Total Body Mega Formula Products in May 2008. If you are not aware of the earlier report, check out the FDA warning about Total Body Formula.

In this final report, FDA found hazardous amounts of chromium in addition to finding hazardous amounts of selenium in the previous study. The samples FDA conducted reports on contained up to 3,426 micrograms of chromium. This is 17 times the recommended intake (35-45 micrograms a day)!

Consumption of the recommending serving of Total Body plus can cause fatigue, hypoglycemia, muscle cramps, hyperactivity, liver toxicity, and renal failure. If you are on medications, consuming excessive chromium can also cause side effects.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed a number of cases of people who have felt adverse reactions from taking Total Body Formula. Reported cases came from Alabama, Florida, GEORGIA, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

The sole distributor of Total Body Formula has voluntarily recalled the affected product
